Hello Everyone! Name is Bryan and I currently reside in Kansas City. I graduated from OU in 2004 with a degree in Atmospheric Science. My main interests are Severe Weather, and Severe Winter Storms. I work for a local utility company in Kansas City providing weather forecasts for the day to day operation of the utility and informing the utility of severe weather that may impact the service area. I am enlisted as a ESM on the site and look forward to adding tons of severe weather coverage for Kansas and parts of Extreme Western MO.

Hey I'm Justin from Pratt, KS. I'm only a student in high school and I'm 16, but dont let that fool you. I have already been chasing severe weather for 2 years, and have been studying it since I was at least 5 years old. I have already witnessed alot of severe weather events, such as the Greensburg Tornado. I have been to multiple NWS Spotter Training. I love the weather and also love to talk about it. When I graduate from high school, my goal is to major in Professional Meteorology at Oklahoma University. (I dont know why everyone copied my intro)

Hell, my name is Chris and I currently reside in Urbana, Illinois. I'm 15 years old and currently a student at Urbana High School. My plan when I get out of school, to major in Meteorology. And don't let my age fool you all...I've been interested in weather since 5 years of age. In 1996, we had an F3 go through the south-east corner of Urbana, then completely level the small town of Ogden. This event was what sparked my interest in tornadoes.

The events in Urbana are always a part of my spotter training, as the NWS has a lot of great footage of these events.

I want to take the time to welcome all the new members to the site, and say hi to the vets that came over from I-S. Its good to see so many young people who hold such a strong interest in weather, and I am looking forward to working with all of you! (Not a pre-written speech.... i swear it!)

I didnt realize that you talk about the events at Urbana. I also didnt know the NWS has footage...thought is was something not taped. Would you happen to have that footage? That day will be burned into my memory forever! Such a scary day that was...

Hey all-
I'm Whitney and I am a freshman meteorology student at Iowa State University (Go Cyclones!! Very Happy ). I have been interested in the atmospheric sciences since I was very little and would always go watch as t-storms rolled across the Southwest Iowa skies with my dad- and I still do. I would like to become a broadcast meteorologist some day, either that or do something with agricultural meteorology. I don't know. So yeah, that's me!
