The Cedar River at Vinton dealing with somewhat moderate flooding and is supposed to crest at 20 ft. By tuesday it should be spilling into town. It already has flooded 2 miles leading out of town toward the airport. Cedar Rapids is getting alot of flooding too. At the 5 in 1 dam here they had to block off part.

The Mississippi River is also flooding.

Muscatine will crest at 21.2 Feet by Thursday Morning, probably earlier. Currently, Business US-61 and State Highway 92 are both being detoured through the Downtown Area. Trucks are encouraged to use the US Highway 61 Bypass, however, use caution as you approach the construction site at the former Hershey Avenue intersection.

Otherwise, you should turn at Main Street, then follow that to West 8th Street and continue on West 8th. Continue to Cypress Street and Turn left. But you will then turn right at the Stop Sign (East 9th Street) and continue up the Hill, at that point it is considered Washington Street. You can then turn left at Park Avenue to continue on Business Route US-61 and State Highway 38. Go straight to go East on State Highway 22. To access the Norbert F. Becky Bridge and continue on Highway 92, turn right on Park Avenue, you then will follow the IA-38/Business US-61 Signs down East 2nd Street to the Bridge, then turn left onto the Bridge.

Streets, Avenues, and Roads Closed in Muscatine County due to River Flooding:

Mississippi Drive - Iowa Avenue to Mulberry Avenue
Oak Street - in the area of the HON Plants
East 2nd Street - Norbert F. Becky Bridge Landing to Oak Street.
Walnut Street - East 2nd Street to Mississippi Drive
Cedar Street - East 2nd Street to Riverfront
Sycamore Street - Alley Number 1 to Mississippi Drive.

Eventually, County Highway G28 (231st Street) will be closed between Echo Avenue and Camp Avenue in the Cedar River Area, between Conesville and Muscatine. Also, County Highway F70 (155th Street/Dougherty Bridge) will be closed from Kelly Avenue to North Mulberry Road to Through Traffic, only Residents who live in the area will have access.

In Davenport, River Drive is also closed from South Fairmount Street into Bettendorf, as it continues as State and Grant Streets. I believe that State Street is closed from Davenport City Limits to Interstate 74 AT LEAST, possibly as far as Devils Glen Road.

Other Roads to Avoid:

State Highway 70 - from State Highway 92 at Columbus Junction to T Avenue near the Iowa River.

County Highway X99 - From Wapello to Oakville
State Highway 22 - Muscatine/Scott County Line to County Highway Y48 (110th Avenue)

Illinois Route 92 - County Route TT (Loud Thunder Road) to 120th Street West near Andalusia.
