Weather Spotter Training 2010

Spotter Classes are now ongoing in many areas across the U.S. If you're not a Trained Storm Spotter, you really should consider it. You can get all the information you need from the National Weather Service online at:
https://apps.weather.gov/outreach/IA.php

Since we have quite a few followers from the Tri-State Region (Iowa/Illinois/Missouri), and of course, Site Owner Barney Paytes III is from the Burlington Area, here's some information on the spotter training classes in that area:

Henry County, Iowa:
Training will be held on Wednesday April 7th at 6:30 PM at the Wayland Volunteer Fire Department in Wayland. This should be over around 8:30.

Lee County, Iowa:
Training will be held at the Fort Madison Community Hospital Business Center, 5445 Avenue O, in Fort Madison. This will be at 6:30PM on Monday March 22nd, and should last til' 8:30.

Louisa County, Iowa:
There will be no class in Louisa County this year. You are asked to attend the class in Muscatine instead.

Mercer County, Illinois:
Training will be held on Monday March 8th at 6:30PM at the Joy Fire Department, 200 West Main Street, in Joy. Should be over by 8:30.

Henderson/Hancock Counties, Illinois:
Training will be held on Monday March 15th at 6:30 PM at the Lomax Fire Station in Lomax. This will also be your last chance for the year if you are a resident of Hancock County and missed the class in Carthage!

Scotland County, Missouri:
Training will be held on Tuesday March 16th at 6:30 PM at the Memphis Fire Department in Memphis. Those who missed the class in Kahoka (Clark County) are also encouraged to attend.

Jefferson County, Iowa:
Training will be held on Thursday March 11th at 6:30PM at the Elks Lodge, 50 North Main Street, in Fairfield.

Washington County, Iowa:
Training will be held on Wednesday March 17th at 6:30PM at the Riverside Volunteer Fire Department, 271 River Street, in Riverside.

Muscatine County, Iowa:
Training will be held on Tuesday March 23rd at 6:30PM at Muscatine Community College in Strahan Hall, 152 Colorado Street, in Muscatine. Louisa County spotters are also encouraged to attend.
